I agree completely, PTS, where Saita is getting her doctorate, has apartments, dorms, etc.. and they sit completely empty. Hybrid is the way everyone is going. My main reason for posting the video is, what is tech going to do ultimately to/for society; destroy it, save it, or change it in such a way that in one hundred years we are not even fully human anymore, at least emotionally. It almost reminds me of that futuristic movie, Demolition Man. Thanks for the reply! Hope all is well with you guys!
Hi Pastor Chuck, I'm wondering what you think of this video in relationship to what you just said. It is a talk about the harm of digital education from ARC, Alliance for Responsible Citizenship. I loved your video by the way.
I think she raises some very legitimate concerns about the use of technology in elementary schools and in public education. We all love face-to-face learning. I'm just saying that even live learning in the future is going to be mediated through mobile devices to a large extent, and we have to decide as Christians whether we want to be there in the conversation or not. Seminary is in decline around the world. Some of the old great names in seminary education are virtually empty buildings these days, with most students preferring a hybrid or completely online experience. This Trend is growing and is not going away.
